Forum Connect RN is a platform to promote the research, development and innovation ecosystem of the State of Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil) and leverage discussion and knowledge exchange on global challenges of the current and future times, creating opportunities for international collaboration to develop innovative solutions. To achieve this, a multi-disciplinary approach is key to building the path to a resilient and sustainable city, where local government prioritises nature and people on a disaster and risks prevention and social equity approach. A joint effort that requires the engagement of the public and private sectors, along with the local communities, the young people and the research and innovation ecosystem to promote a just and fair transition to a greener, healthier, safer, and happier society.
This panel will show how the Rio Grande do Norte network, in Brazil’s northeast, is working to tackle some global challenges. The speakers also will present and respond about their multilateral research and innovation initiatives related to health, IT, and renewable energies, in order to explore how the challenges and needs of regional actors are affecting the strategy of innovation actors throughout the globe.
